Right, so who knows the exact situation of each of these photos?
Answer: They were deliciously painful bts shots where Richard Dean Anderson and Amanda Tapping decided to screw with our minds, giving a significant section of their fandom heart attacks. Sending us soaring on intoxicating delight that we might get something more than a significant glance only to have our feels dashed in despair against rocks of absence as the episodes aired. You haven’t been trolled till these two have trolled you. My heart still hurts.
Confused, stoned Adama + giggly, stoned Laura=the best thing ever
—“Unfinished Business: Extended Episode”
Okay, folks let me just say: this is one of my favorite Meryl Streep scenes of all time, let me explain why. The ending of the movie is not spectacular in itself. You know, Jane is back to being single again and she still wants to have build her new kitchen and she comes out of the house to greet the team of architects and workers, but then it starts: she has mixed feelings, she still hopes in the back of her head that Adam will be there, but she laughs to herself bc the bigger part of her thinks he won’t come back anyway. In the second gif she’s sad and also a bit angry that she allowed herself to think he might give her another chance…she’d rather go back inside…in the third gif she’s super surprised to see Adam…and at the same time insecure how to handle the situation because she still feels bad about what had happened that night with him and Jake in front of her computer. In the fourth gif her mood changes to the better. She looks as if she’s glad that he came, but also confused about how forgiving he is. In the fifth gif you can see how relieved she is that they’ll have another chance and how thankful as well. There’s so much hope in her eyes. The last gif is the best, she shows him her happiness and her gratidude and at them same time she’s flirty and maybe a little bit cheeky - back to her Jane-self. Anyway, that’s why Meryl Streep is the queen of acting. She can shift from one emotion to the next in seconds even expresses several emotions at the same time. This scene lasts 1 minute and a half and she speaks 1 and half sentences the rest is acting. You’re welcome!
Oh my Gooood. I can’t deal. Bless this post. Absolutely perfect.
Huh. That is surprisingly useful advice.
This, in all honesty, has to be the most useful post i’ve ever seen on Tumblr. Far more useful than all the other quotes about life and sorrows and stuff (yes they are true, but this is far more effective), and it actually works! Puts a light spin on obstacles in life and helps us to move on rather than dwell on them, i like :D
